Application Performance Monitor

Hi,

I need to know if with Orion products I can monitor the following equipments:

Network Devices: Cisco, Passport Nortel, HP Procurve, SonicWall AP's

Storage Devices: HP EVA, HP MAS (Medical Archive Solution), SAN Switches

Operation Systems: HPUX, REDHAT, Windows, VMWARE

H/W: Blade Center,Blade Servers, Proliants Servers

The SolarWinds product line should have you covered on all of these things, which products you use will depend on what you specifically wish to monitor on those devices.

Here is a breakdown of what I think might work for you...

Network Devices: Cisco, Passport Nortel, HP Procurve, SonicWall AP's
Operation Systems: HPUX, REDHAT, Windows, VMWARE
H/W: Blade Center,Blade Servers, Proliants Servers

These things can all be monitored with Orion NPM and possibly APM depending on what exactly you wish to monitor.

Storage Devices: HP EVA, HP MAS (Medical Archive Solution), SAN Switches

These things would likely be able to be monitored by Orion NPM for availability but you can also use Storage Profiler to get detailed storage system data. Check the compatible device list HERE to make sure it will support your devices.

All SolarWinds products can be downloaded from their site free of charge for a trial period and they are easy to install and get up and running.
