HI all
We have upgraded NCM to version 7.5 and since then the job scheduled to back-up configuration is no longer running. I have created Running and Startup Configs job separately and still not running.
I just opened a ticket with Solarwinds for a similar issue. Any job that requires NCM to log into a device does not appear to be kicking off. Jobs that don't log into equipment (like the configuration change report) seem to kick off fine.
Please update when this is resolved. I'm planning on doing this very soon, and want to make sure I have a referenced solution when/if I run into this. =D
Will do! We have multiple jobs defined that log into devices and collect various show output. None of them are kicking off, so I don’t think it is specific to the download configs job.
We resolved the issue by restarting services.
Jobs are not running as scheduled or on command - SolarWinds Worldwide, LLC. Help and Support
We ran into the same issue. None of our scheduled jobs ran. The resolution was to recreate the jobs from scratch (a very annoying task) and delete the original ones.
The support technician that I worked with acknowledged that this is a known issue in NCM 7.5. I was given a "buddy drop" installer, which sounded like a pre-release fix from the developers. Looking online, it appears that NCM hotfix 2 was released on 8/11 which specifically addresses scheduled jobs not kicking off. Release notes:
SolarWinds Network Configuration Manager (NCM) 7.5.0 Hotfix 2
Hotfix 2 addresses the following issue:
* Scheduled jobs not starting at the scheduled time after upgrading.
