extract MSI from EXE (NCM 7.5)

Is there a way to extract the installation files from the EXE NCM installation file?

The reason I ask is because every time I try to execute the EXE installation program it quits working right after it reaches 100% extraction...

I was able to find the TEMP location of the installation files but the system doesn't give me a change to copy and paste them to a new location because they get wiped after the installation fails.

I'm trying to install it onto a 2012 R2 Server. This behavior is the same even when I try to use a different server.

We ran into the same problem during this installation procedure, using the same server version as you, and did the following:

1. Install or obtain a copy of 7-zip

2. Extract the installer executable for your desired product (contained in the downloaded zip file) to a temp folder (we used: c:\temp)

3. The 7-zip tool creates a $_OUTDIR folder inside of c:\temp. Open this folder and move all sub-folders to c:\temp

4. Run OrionInstaller.BootStrapper.exe as normal.

This fixed our issues as we saw the same thing. The installation files would extract to %temp%\SWOrionSetup\ and then would be removed once the extraction reached 100%. This process worked for us for NPM-12 and all of our other product upgrades.
