NCM repeatedly logs onto devices

I have found that after logging onto or uploading configs to my PIX and ASA devices that as long as I have NCM open, it repeatedly logs onto the device every minute.

I know this because I have the syslog monitor send me an e-mail everytime the devices get logged onto.

Came in to find a couple thousand e-mails this morning. Closed NCM and they stopped. What gives?

One thought - are you triggering real time configuration backups via snmp? IOS will generate a config snmp trap on show run...

Thanks for the reply. They appear to be telnet logons and I realized that they persist only as long as I leave the config window open. After an config clip upload it appears to keep the connection open indefinielty
