Orion services alerting

I know this can be done with the APM as an add-on but I don't feel I need to fork out more $$ just to get an alert on Orion specific services.  I want to set up alerts for any Orion service that stopped, restarted, etc.  I think that should be built into Orion...if you want to monitor other servers and applications I can see getting APM.  Orion-only stuff should be included.

Hi Bryan, 

I use SNARE to alert on Orion services on my server and send the SNMP trap to a standalone Syslogger to be e-mailed out.
