RFE: Resource Discovery Needs Improvement

Discovering interfaces on a router needs to be a far less painful process when systems with several thousand interfaces are involved. (I've got one w/ over 21,000 reported interfaces on it) As the number increases, the ability to rack in the numbers decreases, making loading a device a multi-hour affair. I'm not sure what the algorithm is, but it needs to be reworked into something much faster.
Reminds me of the days of my bubble-sort programs, actually.
