Hi,
How can I monitor the following on Linux:
1. Server Uptime event( reboot).
2. File change monitor. (e.g. hostname change, /etc/passwd)
3. Ensure the ff are runnig( smtp, iptable, sshd , ntp)
This is monitored by default for all SNMP Nodes. You will find this information on the Node Details view.
You would need to write a Linux/Unix script monitor for this
You can monitor any processes running on the host either by launching the Real-Time Process Explorer and clicking on "Start Monitoring" for each process you would like to monitor. Alternatively you can go to [Settings -> SAM Settings -> Browse For Component Monitors] and select Process Monitor - SNMP under Linux - Unix Systems. This will list all processes running on the remotely managed host. Simply select the processes you would like monitored and complete the rest of the wizard to create a custom application template.
