Customized Configuration Change Report

Hi All,

I am new to NCM and I need to get this done asap.

1. Network "devices" which are using "TACACS" to do the Authentication job, is there any way to list the user who did the changes in the "Config Change Report"? If not, what are the options available. Basically, my report should the person name who did the changes in the device.

2. Sometimes, "Config Change Report" doesn't capture the changes made in the device. For instance...

configure terminal

do sh run | b monitor sess

show running-config

no monitor session 1 source vlan 48

monitor session 1 source interface GigabitEthernet 2/18

do wr

write

On the report, it says "no changes". Why is that? Am I missing something?

Hi Sheldon--

Can you verify the version of NCM that you are running? Meanwhile, I'll mark this for the PM.

Hi Sheldon:

1. the user activity report will show you what each user has done within NCM. To access this report go to Reports->View Report->Audit->User Activity Tracking Report.

2. On the Config Change Report - have you opened a support ticket? You might have support check and make sure everything is set up correctly.

RegEX in the Edit Comparision Criteria was having few rules in there due to which few lines in configs were ignored.
