DNS issue in Netflow

Hi,

All the IP address in netflow are not resolving to Hostname

Is there anything needs to be done for this to work?

I have upgraded to V3.1 SP1 and i could still see all workstations are not displaying the dns records

Any help is much appreciated

I am having the same issue.

On SW demo site, all the IPs (even external) are resolved to domain names and host names.
All I have are IP addresses.

Are we missing something?

I got this issue resolved by installing the latest version and now i could see DNS names for all internal and external IP's

please folllow this steps:

update your NTA to version 3.1 SP2
enable option "Enable NetBIOS resolution of endpoints" under Admin->NTA Settings->Global Settings

I'm needing to update NTA also so I downloaded NTA from customer portal and ran the .exe.

But - it default prompts for REMOVE and also shows REPAIR. Which do I use?

As you already have NTA 3.1 installed, is enough for you to install only 3.1 SP2.

This service pack requires Orion NetFlow Traffic Analyzer 3.1 (Orion NTA 3.1).

To install this service pack, extract and then run the Netflow-3.1-Update.exe file.
