I need to reset a large number of my devices (about half of them) to use the Global Default password in NCM. This will be nearly all of my Cisco devices, but nothing else. Is there an easy/streamlined way to do this?
Thanks,~Terry
One way would be to go into Web Console Manage Nodes, then select all the nodes you wish to modify. Then click on Edit Properties. Now scroll down to Login Information, tick the box and either click on Reset options (e.g Reset to ${GlobalUsername} or fill out the details yourself. Then click on Submit.
Or you can do it in the NCM gui where you select all the devices in the Node List (hold down the control button), then right click on one of them and select Edit Multiple Nodes (you can add or remove devices in the box that opens up). Then modify the details in the Login Information section. And click on Done.
Hope that helps.
