How can I monitor a web page load time?

Does anyone know of a way to monitor the time it takes for a web page to load using APM? Specifically, I would like to monitor various Orion web pages so that when one of my users says, "Orion takes too long to load", I can refer to a concrete statistical value from the monitor.

Is there any way to do this with some kind of script?

Response time for port 80 would be covered by the TCP Port Monitor. The response time for HTTP monitor would cover time to load the page. SolarWinds staff confirms this in the following thread.

Wouldn't the HTTP or HTTPS monitor work for this? The response time for these monitors is supposed to represent the period from the initial request to the time that the web page is retrieved. Of course, if the web server and poller are on the same box, it won't be a completely accurate assessment of the response time. However, if you want to use it for the purpose of creating a baseline and then alerting when the response time fluctuates too far from this baseline, that should work.

Thats what I was thinking, but I am not sure if the component response time is for the port 80 itself, or for the loading of the page.

I believe the HTTP monitor would only tell you the time it took to load the html, I don't think it will actually load the pictures which would have to be created and need to wait for sql-queries to finish.

Therefore it would not represent the time a user has to wait for the website to finish loading.

Now I am not possitive about this but I believe this is the case, can some SW-Staff confirm this?
