NCM realtime change notification has changed, want workaround

Hi Everyone,

The new version of NCMs realtime change detection alerts operates differently than the old version. The old version the e-mail contained only the before and after for the section that was changed. the comparison of what you changed. The new version has the whole configuration in the e-mail. I do not like this for a couple of reasons. First, i don't want my whole config floating through e-mail. For security reasons, we do not exploit our configs in any way. The second reason is that it takes longer to identify the change that was made as you have to scroll through the e-mail to find the change. Third, some configs are big I don't want the extra data eating up my mailbox quota.

Does anyone have a workaround for this? I'd like to just get the changed portion in my e-mail notifications.

Hi Susan,

I'm not sure which older version you mean.

In NCM 7.1 you can control the number of lines before and after the change that will be included in the report:

Web UI -> Settings -> NCM Settings -> Config Settings
