Next Version

There's been at least one major upgrade and a few minor upgrades to NPM since 1.2 was released and now EOC is sadly lagging behind.

I know the next version is going to be purely a performance improvement but when is EOC going to support all the latest functionality from NPM?

I second Jon's question. Some of the fetures released in NPM 10.1 are the most needed pieces to EOC. I'm particually after AD group authentication to get the right views for the right departments and to aid in setting up new NPM sites in EOC without having to modify heaps of users. The other needed/personal request is grouping, but across NPM's. Not as vital as AD group auth, but something to add value to the grouping features in NPM.

It would be nice to see the login page like that of the Orion NPM. Having a pop-up for windows integration does not work. So for those who have workstations in the same domain as the EOC server, this is great idea as it removes the need for a login (integrated windows login). But when the user account I use to log into the workstation is not affiliated with the domain of the EOC, then I have to use the crummy windows pop-up box to log into the EOC. There should be an option to use one or the other. For me I would prefer to use a login page like that of the Orion NPM 10.1.

Also with the Orion NPM, I can set a log on banner which is idea in this case. Not having a log on banner is not good for this environment. If anyone is logging into any system, then a log in banner should be present as it transfers risk to the user through the user acknowledgment called the login banner.
