Alerting: disk space re-alerting every 24 hours

Sorry if this is a repeat of an existing thread.

I've written disk space alerts to alert on disk threshold below 10%.. They work great.

If no one *fixes* the disk space issue I want the system to trigger another email reminder, so inside the alert, under "Trigger Action" and our "send an email" -- we've configured "Execution Settings" to repeat this action every 1 day.

My question.. If the alert is cleared by the operator, will it automatically be "acknowledged" ?  If it is not, then the email action will be triggered every 24 hours  until acknowledged even though there isn't an active alert for disk space!

Is there a better way to do this?

We don't use the acknowledgement system in Orion -- so it isn't very useful to use it.

If the trigger condition is no longer true (free space is greater than 10%) then the alert will reset (clear) and no further alert escalation actions will occur. Alert Acknowledgement is used primarily to stop these escalation actions from occurring when the alert trigger condition remains true (free space is less than 10%).
