Strategies for migrations and upgrades

Hello,

Just wondering if someone could give me an idea of what the process for upgrading or re-building an impelmentation of OrionNCM would look like.  For example, lets say that your OrionNCM server has had a hardware failure and you are forced to re-build the server from scratch: what would be the best strategy for restoring asset information, configuration backups, log data, etc.. ? I was thinking that one might use the existing database backup/restore functionality provided by MS SQL Enterprise Manager, but I wanted to know if there was a better way.

Also, wanted feedback on the Orion License Manager software, and how that worked out for you during the migration process. The Orion NCM manual suggests that you use the License Manager software to enable the transfer of the license between the two servers: i'm wondering if this means that both servers must have internet access? Or can this be done in an off-line mode somehow?
