9.5.1 - some of my pollers quit talking to DB every night

All,

I upgraded to 9.5.1 the other morning and it was the smoothest upgrade yet (I have 7 boxes between pollers and web servers).  Kudos SW!

That said, I have pollers that stop talking to the DB around 10 or 11 for the last 2 nights.  First night 2 pollers, second night, 3 pollers stopped.  Any thoughts...I'll also open a case as I figure this will be a support issue.

I have had this issue since 9.5 when we added a second polling engine.  Usually it happens about every 2-weeks or so.  It has been hit a miss and there has been no consistenty on this.  Upgraded to 9.5.1 hoping the issue was fixed and had it occur again a week later.   Opened a ticket on it last year and they could never figure out a root cause for what we have been seeing.  Luckily it doesn't happen every night.  Is your backend a SQL Cluster?

all 4 stopped last night, all between 10p and midnight.  bout to get on phone with support.  case# 140780

Hi,

If you are seeing errors with polling stopping due to DB connectivity (or any other reason), then please open a ticket and reference this thwack thread.  Stop polling issues are tracked closely by development, so we would really like to find the root cause of this.
