All monitors up, but application status = down. What gives?

I've been trying to troubleshoot this issue for the past 2 days now...to no avail.

Exactly what the title says, I've got a couple hosts that I've applied to a SQL server monitor template using WMI. All the monitors in the template are up and fine, but the application status still shows as down.

Anyone have a clue as to why I'm getting this behavior? I'm running NPM 9 SP2 and APM 2 SP1. This started happening just a few days ago. I've got a duplicate template that's using everything the same but the credentials, and it shows all monitors up, and the application up.

Hi there - I've just found the same thing in my case with the "Windows Service Monitor" - started after I installed APM SP1...

It was fine before that - now when I add a monitor to a server (from an already created template) although the Monitor status goes to UP I get no stats and the overall status shows "Unknown" with a grey icon. Additionally I see no stats in the application monitor screens when I check then - it says "Application status is Unknown" but Component status is UP.

Seems like a bug in SP1....

Would you mind opening a Support ticket and including diagnostics? We'd like to see the info to figure out what's going on.

Ticket created and Diagnostics uploaded. Ticket number is 59999.

In the meantime, is there a way to uninstall APM 2 SP1? Does re-installing APM 2 overwrite it? This problem didn't manifest itself until I installed SP1.
