How to downgrade NPM License?

I have a customer that wants to downgrade his NPM license from 2000 to 500 to free up that license to use elsewhere. Is there an easy way to do so without installing the whole thing again? Thanks. -Scott

I need to do this too.... i need to downgrade an SLX to an SL2000... i am going to do this in VMware so i can take a snapshot before i do it in case i balls up, but i think it should be as simple as installing the Sl2000 binary of the same version over the top of the SLX whcih should just work....
