It appeared...at least for me that Solarwinds changed from the default of SNMPv1 to v2 and many of my devices did not support SNMPv2. So switching back to v1 for those devices fixed that issue. My second issue was for some of my 3com switches, Orion was not listing the names of the ports. It seemed that no matter how many times I told Orion to rediscover the device, it still would not list the port names. I finally...albiet not a good solution...deleted the switches and re-added them and Orion finally listed the port names.I dunno if anything I described fits with any of your problems.
