Web graphic: Devices Backed Up vs. All Devices

This graphic is still displaying "Sample Graph" and has never dispalyed any useful information since the upgrade to 5.0
Current version is with SP2.

Are any members getting better data? If so what did you do?

Oh good, so I'm not the only one this is happening to. My graph is still displaying "Sample Graph" too. Anxious to find out if this is working for anyone.

Yep...mine doesn't dispaly anything useful either. It doesn't say "Sample Graph", but its just solid blue. I've got backups of all my device configs. I opened a ticket yesterday for this issue along with several other problems I'm having. Haven't heard anything back yet. I've already upgraded to SP2.

Is your backup time frame set to a weekly? If so, change the granularity to something bigger than a week to see data. There is a check box "Only save if configs changed", if this setting is checked in your download config job, NCM won't count that as a backup. This is a bug that is scheduled to resolved in 5.1.

Thanks, Mark. My config backups do run weekly and were set to only download configs that had changed. I changed that yesterday and re-downloaded all my configs again. I also adjusted the granularity to Monthly. Now the graph is only shoiwng October and its completely blank.

Couple rules of thumb for this particular chart:

1) Set granularity to map up to your download schedule (e.g. weekly downloads, set granularity to weekly)

2) Ensure that you have at least 2 data points for your chosen granularity. Otherwise, you won't see an area graph.

Nightly backups and inventories, this I have vaildated via the scheduled job logs. However, I only retain changed backups.
