Applying Orion Platform HotFix 5

Over the next few weeks I will be upgrading all of our SolarWinds products to the current versions.

Many of these products require the Orion Platform HotFix 5 after installation.

Do I need to reinstall the HotFix after I install each product upgrade?

For example, I will first be install NPM 11.5.2 followed by installing the required Orion Platform HotFix 5.

A week later I will be installing SAM 6.2.1, which also requires Orion Platform HotFix 5. Should I reinstall it again?

the hotfix It´s a different to modulos.

"Orion HotFix" are for the Orion core software.

So if you run NPM and SAM or NCM on the same server you need to run it only one.

There are some time specific HotFix for the software that run over the Orion Core like

Network Performance Monitor v11.5.2-Hot Fix 2 or Orion Network Configuration Manager v7.4.0-Hot Fix 2

You only need to run this once. I recently upgraded SAM NTA and NPM then applied the Orion Platform hotfix when complete. If you have pollers you'll want to upgrade them and then apply the hotfix 5 to them as well.
