Yup, there's a template that has an event log monitor. Here's the docs page for the template.

Just FYI - But as an option to APM in case you have not tried it the Solarwinds Event Forwarder (free app) works like a charm for me. It picks up each severity - Informational - Warning - Critical.

I have it installed on our Exchange server and that server logs 20,000 Event Viewer events per day and I have SYSLOG rules working and Orion is sending alerts. It works great.
