How to configure linux servers

Curently we are using Orion Application performance monitor for our windows and linux servers. While managing nodes for Windows server we could see Disk volumes and ethernet informations. But for linux servers we are unable to include such options. It will be great if we get help on how to configure http,qmail,ports,resin,dns,tomcat etc services on it.

Any help on this is appreciated.

The component monitors for HTTP, HTTPS, ports, and DNS user experience do not care whether the target is Linux or Windows. What do you mean by "services"? Do you mean processes? If so, the SNMP process monitor will work just fine on Linux. Use the AppBuilder to browse to the target Linux box, and you can browse a list of processes and select the ones you want to monitor.

If you other specific applications you want to monitor, you may need to use scripts. You can write those or find those in various places on the web. Be sure to check out the Application Monitor Templates uploaded by other APM users. Also, you should check out the Nagios Exchange. APM 2.0 includs a Nagios script converter that will let APM run Nagios plug-in. You can find the converter in C:\Program Files\Solarwinds\Orion\APM\SampleScriptMonitors.
