problems with data plane traffic flows on 6500

I have several 6500s running 12.2(18)SXF15 configured to export to NTA. Regardless of whether I use a switched port with a SVI or a routed port, NTA shows only control-plane traffic in the interface detail graphs (e.g., SNMP, NTP, etc). I have tried using the "ip flow ingress layer2-switched vlan x" command with switched ports and SVIs, and it doesn't seem to make a difference. The "Active NetFlow Sources" object on the NTA summary page does show the correct data-plane throughput rates on the interfaces.

I'm running the latest patches for both NPM and NTA.

Any suggestions?

I would do a packet capture on the NTA server interface and see if you are receiving data plane flows. If not, the issue is in the 6500 config

Perfect. I should have remembered my own motto, "when in doubt, capture packets". I was missing the "mls nde sender version 5" command, whereas I did have the "ip flow-export version 5" command; hence data plane flows were being exported as version 7.
