Error with Oracle Client Installation

Hello,

I am attempting to install the new Oracle Client onto our server and receive the following error:

Copying files to C:\Program Files\Solarwinds\Orion\

Error: Unable to copy files to install directory. <Error Code: 4>

Press any key to continue.....(pressing any key simply exits)

I read in other posts to make sure I am closed out of all Solarwinds programs as error code 4 means its trying to write to something that is open, can someone explain?  I have all applications related to Solarwinds closed, do I need to stop the services or something else?

Hello,
yes, you should stop also SolarWinds services, particularly SolarWinds Job Engine, but if it is not enough, stop also others. If even that doesn't help, you can run command "tasklist -m" that lists all processes and .dlls used by them to find which process actually uses that file.
