NPM database maintenance log

Running NPM v10.1.3 would like to figure out why NetPerfMon-Maint-yyyymmdd is only maintaining 5 days and each log only contains 1 line "Starting Nightly Maintenance". I know our nightly db maintenance is running & completing, as I've verified by examining event log. However there is also swdebugMaintenance.log (6 copies) being generated which contains entire db maintenance. I have 2 questions:

1) Is our NPM likely in debug mode, if so how do I verify and turn off ?

2) How can we increase the # of db maintenance logs being kept - ie: retain 10 days for example.

In the Orion install folder (e.g. C:\Program Files (x86)\Solarwinds\Orion) there is a tool called LogAdjuster.exe that will let you change the logging levels of various programs/modules.

For retention I believe you would have to change the logging manually.  Each executable that Orion runs has an associated .config file, for example the daily maintenance tool:

Database-Maint.exe
Database-Maint.exe.config

If you open the .config in notepad you will see the standard log4net config.  The line you will want to change is highlighted below:

If you do make changes, backup any files beforehand. You do all this at your own risk etc etc
