Question about Alerts in new APM

I am setting up alerts to alert us when the status of certain https sites chenges to down. I can set up the alert no problem. My issue is with using a variable to show which website is down when I trigger an email message to be sent. Essentially I would like the alert to trigger and email message that includes the URL of the website in question. Is this possible? I can get everything working except for placing the URL dynamically in to the triggered email. I want to do it this way so I don't have to write individual alerts for each website. Any help would be appreciated. Thank you in advance!

Hi,

I believe you can do this if you are willing to change the name of the monitor to reflect the name of the URL.

Then, consider creating an adv alert with the following conditions: Trigger Alert when all of the following apply, Monitor name is equal to <NameOfHTTPMonitor>, Monitor Status is equal to Down

Create an alert message in the trigger action which reads as follows: ${ComponentName} is ${ComponentStatus}.

Yes that worked. However it does not test cleanly with the "Test Alert" function since there is now way for selecting the alerts to test. Will this be fixed in the next version of Orion by any chance? I had to test the alert by actually bringing down the web site in question.
