Alert on different applications triggering on different nodes

Hello, I am sorry if this has been answered before, I couldn't find it specifically anywhere.

I would like to trigger an alert when 2 different application components(from different application templates) have a specific status on 2 different nodes. That means, different Node ID and surely different Application/Component Template ID. Can I do that without having to create groups? If yes, how?

Hi Derek,

Thanks for the very useful suggestion. I just realized that i can do this also using the new Web alerting engine, by clicking on "Add Section". This way you can combine different objects. Now my challenge is managing to output 2 component statistics from different applications in one alert e-mail

Hi Alex,

You could create an application custom property, assign the applications in question the same custom property value. Then add the specific component types to the alert.

Because it's and 'and' alert, it means that all conditions have to be met for the alert to trigger.
