Battery Capacity Gauge/Does Reverse Threshold Work?

Hi, I've set up a poller to get the 'percent of batterylife remaining' from my UPS. I'd like to display this in a gauge that looks something like a gas gauge on a car... 100% is green, below 30% is yellow, below 5% or so is red.

I thought the reverse threshold feature on the gauges might work, but my 99 value still shows up in bold red.

Any tips on setting up such a gauge?

Hi,

Have you tried to transform the poller and show the modified results in a gauge?

100 - UnDP_Value = Transformed_Value

That will invert the result and show the batterylife "used" instead of the batterylife "remaining".

This is only a different way of seeing the status but you will have the gauge in the Yellow/Red part when you start having issues with the batteries.

I'm in the same boat. I can understand your work around here but how about SW creating guages to support this?

I would agree. Inverting the data is the best available answer, but there should be a few 'gas tank' style gauges available, or possibly the ability to invert the visual-style of all the gauges.

From further reading on this site, I understand that SW uses a third party app to generate it's gauges, so I'll just drop this into 'future release enhancements'.
