Issues with Credentials not being stored

Hello all,

We recently had to move our Solarwinds server to a new box, since then we've had an issue where the SAM cannot remeber the Windows credentials we enter into the Polling Method screen

In the past, when i add a server i enter our AD account information into the "WMI and ICMP" section, if i add another server, im given the option to reuse that account

However now i have to enter it every single time i add a server, meaning i have 74 servers with 74 different credentials listed in the Admin > Credentials > Manage Windows Credentials, even though they are all exactly the same account

Also all of our hardware polling seems to of broken and flags up: Hardware polling failed: Error 31002 -

The issues is that the certificate used to encrypt and access the credentials stored in the database must be migrated from the original server to the new server. This process is outlined in the KB articles below.

Then the previous credentials stored in the database cannot be decrypted. You will likely need to update the credentials manually, or possibly even remove/delete all credentials created on the original server and recreate them.
