Watchdog IT humidity and temperature monitoring

Does anyone know if this device can be monitored through SAM? We've looked through the forums and the shared templates for something that works. If not, can we make a custom SNMP template to get the humidity and temperature readings? We are needing to setup an alert for this to notify us immediately. Any help would be greatly appreciated! Please forgive me if there is an article about this already. I searched and found no results.

The default out-of-the-box "Alert me when a component goes into warning or critical state" should serve as a good starting point. From there you can configure the Trigger Actions to notify you via email or whatever notification mechanism you prefer. You can also fine tune the Trigger Condition to specify only that specific component monitor or server if you so desire.

Yes, you should be able to use SAM's SNMP Monitor to gather the appropriate metrics you are looking to monitor on this device. This device also supports syslog, so you could easily receive alarms from the device and be alerted through SAM's syslog server. WIthout seeing the MIBwalk myself it's hard to say what OID exactly you should be monitoring, but if this is any indication then it's likely "1.3.6.1.4.1.529.2.7.2.1.5"

*EDIT* - I tried to use the syslog viewer and I don't think that I'm explaining what we need properly. We are wanting to get an alert, inside SAM, similar to when a volume goes over a threshold. We would like to see this alert when our temperature drops below a specific degree. Is this possible through the application monitor? I hope this makes sense. I'm not the best at explaining stuff.

I don't see the option for setting up a trigger inside the syslog server. Doesn't make sense. Thanks anyways.
