Netflow service is not starting

We got following error in Windows event viewer and netflow service is stopped

EventType clr20r3, P1 solarwinds.businesslayerhost.exe, P2 9.5.0.2009, P3 4a096db1, P4 smdiagnostics, P5 3.0.0.0, P6 470e469a, P7 104, P8 24, P9 system.outofmemoryexception, P10 NIL.

And when we try to start the netflow service we are getting following error message. However I have cheked if any other instace of netflow is running on the server, I could not found any in task manager.

Unable to start listening on configured port 2055: Only one usage of each socket address (protocol/network address/port) is normally permitted

Hi Kash,

You have something else using port 2055, probably another NetFlow collector system. If you shut down the other program you'll be OK. Also you can configure your devices to export to another port and set NTA to listen on that port number.

SolarWinds.BusinessLayerHost.exe binded the UDP 2055 port and it has released the same when I have stoped "SolarWinds Orion Module Engine" serivce. After that Netflow service started working. Any Idea why it has happen like this? Thanks,Kash

I've never seen that. If you open a ticket and include the diags we can probably tell what happened.
