clear counters not working
DaveNoonan
I want a scheduled job to clear counters on a bunch of IOS devices at midnight but the commands don't seem execute. The script is "clear counters${CRLF}${CRLF}". I've also tried "clear counters${CRLF}y${CRLF}" and replacing the ${CRLF} with a carriage return. If I add "sh ver" in front the clear counters the "sh ver" will work and then it will hang for a while and eventually finish. In the output the "clear counters" command never shows up but the "sh ver" and it's output do. I have the same problem whether I do it from "test job" or from "upload script".
I also tried "clear log" and got the same results so it's seems to be related to the "clear" command, even if you abbreviate it as "cle". I can paste the identical commands into a telnet session and it works fine so I really don't get what the problem is.
Any ideas?

FYI...
I finally found the form to contact support (they do hide it, don't they), opened a ticket and we determined that Cirrus doesn't recognize the "[confirm]" prompt that the router sends after you ask it to clear counters, logs or a number of other things.
I'm waiting to see if there's a fix.
