Cisco CSS load balancer compare startup running configuration

Question

I have NCM 5.1.1 and am having an issue with comparing configurations with a CSS cisco load balancer.

Comparing Running to Running I have no issues.

Comparing Saved to Saved I have no issues.

Comparing Running to Saved lists line changes that have not changed. I do not see any alterations in the configurations and I have not made any changes to the CSS device in months. I am unsure why they show up as changed.  Please see attached screen shots.

Yes you are correct about the spaces. I also opened a ticket with Solarwinds and we tried very hard to create a filter to ignore spaces or new lines at the end of the configs, but it did not help.  I still have the ticket open as I want to see this fixed as well.

Hi there.

I was/am experiencing the exact same issue with my CSS configs.  I had a ticket open with support and, after sending my entire database over to them, they determined there was an extra space at the end of all the lines in the running config that were not in the startup (saved) config.   They basically advised me not to compare startup-running config on the CSS.  I would still like to see this fixed, as comparing running to startup is a critical check for devices.
