NetFlow Sources - Node details not available.

I am new to NetFlow, and am taking over a previous installation.

In NetFlow Sources I have a giant list of devices, most of which say LAST RECEIVED NETFLOW as never.

I click on them and I get this error.

Details for node x are not available because NetFlow and CBQoS data are not available.

I am lost at sea here.

Any help would be appreciated, thanks.

Few questions first:

Where is your NetFlow Storage Database stored (assuming you're on the newer versions)?
When you click on NetFlow summary in the Orion web console, are you seeing any current information?

Judging from just your screenshot, it appears you have NTA installed but none of your devices have been correctly configured to export NetFlow data to your Collector(s)!

I have plenty of information for about 7000+ interfaces in netflow. Most of them report data just as advertised. I have a few problem children though.

In addition to the one above. I have a device that is in netflow with no data.

We have the orion db on it's own server.

Does netflow have it's own proprietary db where the netflow data is stored?

You were/are correct. Somewhere before my time people stopped entering the ip flow-export line for the NPM server in the config of the switches/routers. Everything added after x date has no data due the the config on those devices. I will have to have them update all of these and we should be good to go.

Thanks silverbacksays for pointing me in the right direction. "none of your devices have been correctly configured" is really what got me looking at the problem from the outside in.
