Netflow vs.. Juniper WXC WAN Accelertor questions

We have purchased and installed Juniper WAN Accelerators for our WAN network.

These accelerators create a GRE Tunnel between each other.

With that being said, will Netflow running on SolarWinds be able to analyse traffic, and if so, what are the limitations if any.

Since the GRE Tunnel is created between the two devices, as long at the netflow source and destination are behind the Juniper devices (and not somewhere in the middle) then there shouldn't be a problem.

I'm not positive on if the juniper would show data properly, being that I haven't gotten my hands on one, but i can tell you that riverbed uses a similar setup for wan acceleration and that i have gotten usable data from both the lan and wan interfaces. Riverbed sends out netflow information from the appliance itself which is probably a key factor in accurate accounting is also a nice way to look at differences in what the Lan and Wan side are running at. The good news for juniper users is that jflow also works with Orion, so if your WXC can send out jflow, Orion will be able to read it.

We have Juniper WXC devices in our network as well. I am able to receive the Netflow traffic from them just fine, however it all comes from the loopback interface of the device.
