Linux monitoring.....

I am running Linux Red hat 3 with net-snmp v5.3 I can not get this to work with Orion. I have looked at what others have posted and change my conf file on the client as per. I can add the Linux server but it never finds the NIC or volumes. Also, It seems to work then stop. I can sometimes get application monitor to list but most of the time not. Then if I try to look at the resources I will get a message that it does not respond to SNMP. It was doing CPU and memory and now it does not. Does anyone have any ideas?

When i would run the network performance monitor and select memory or volume information it caused the server to peg at 99.9%. I upgraded to the latest Net-Snmp release to resolve-

You might want to upgrade to 5.4.1

Thanks. The problem is that I can not go to that version of net-snmp. It has dependecies that we can not install on our Linux server. Thanks for the input

SolarWinds really needs to start looking into broadening their support of Linux (net-snmp).

Agreed. It's on our to-do list for Orion. What would you like to see, exactly? Do you just want us to support the latest version of net-snmp? What else, if anything?
