application monitor tab

Question

i had recently upgraded to version 8, and installed application monitor pack. Application monitor was not on the machine prior to the 8 upgrade. i noticed i have not "application monitor" tab next to the "network performance monitor" tab. is there away to make this appear?

Menu items are easy enough, but alteon was asking about having a tab similiar to those you get for Wireless Networks and NetFlow Analysis. Which, as I said isn't a standard feature for Application Monitoring.

You can go into the account details for that user and look for "Application Monitor Management Pack" and change "Application Details View" to "Application Details". This should give you access.

It sounds like you figured out how to add "Applications" to the menu bar, but just in case. Go to "Customize Menu Bars" from the "Admin Menu". Select the menu bar that your account is using and click "Edit". (See "Default Menu Bar and Views" section for the user account if you aren't sure which one to edit). Once you selected the menu bar you want to modify, click the (+) "Add menu item" and check the box called "Applications". Then hit "Submit at the bottom of the page.

I added a tab at the top of the Network Performance Monitor where it has Home, Events, Overview, Admin etc.  I added a tab called Category but all the other tabs seem to reference a http page.  When I click on my tab I get a message stating that I do not have access to that view.  Any ideas?

New tabs are possible to make though - I've done them myself for various other things such the IP Address Management addon I'm working on
