Polling Engine - Service Account getting locked out

Hi everyone,

I'm posting this because i've tried eveything i've seen here in the forums and on the web to find out where and why one of our account is getting locked out.

Here's the details for the problem :

The AD account is locking out at the exact same time (down to the seconds) on one of our polling engine, and it does it every day.

Even after a reboot its getting locked at the same time.

This makes me think that this is either a scheduled task or something automated that is doing it.

I've checked new nodes added and everything new that has been modified since this recurring event and found no clue. I've found no clues in the log concerning this either.

The only thing I can't figure out (which was mentionned in another thread) is the credentials for the licensing on the engine.

Short of reinstalling, I have no clue where to investigate next.

This kind of problem can be a pain....although I've not run into it for some time...in the past I've used a tool called Netwrix Account lockout examiner from "Netwrix". Maybe take a look at that and see if it can help you find the issue....I don't know if the free tool will give you all the functions, but it might be worth a shot.

I realize this is an old issue, but are you still experiencing this issue? Your question starts by saying 'trying to find out where and why one of our account is locked', then it goes on to state 'locking out at the exact time on one of our polling engine'. Are you trying to find out which computer is locking it, or is the server with the polling engine locking it?
