NCM 7 with addition web server

I am planning my NCM 7 upgrade. I have browsed through the install guide and video, and it gives great info on how to install NCM on the same server as NPM and on a separate server as NPM. But what I did not see was any info of installing the NCM web portion on an additional web server.

Our setup has NCM and NPM installed on the same physical server, but we also use the additional web server as the main web front end for Orion. So how do I install the web portion of NCM on the additional web server?

If I missed it in the documentation, please me to the right document and page #.

We also use the additional web server and are considering re-integrating NCM when we upgrade since significant improvements seem to have been made on this. I will also need to see how to upgrade an environment with an additional web server.

I do have the same environment as you describe. NPM and NCM was on one server, additional pollers on other machines, and 2 webservers loadbalanced via Cisco ACE´s

For the V7 upgrade, i opted to re-install NCM on a complete seperate box, to free up cappasity, but also to tighten security a bit (who can see config files and who can´t) - So my current environment is 6 servers, each having only one role. NPN, 2 additional polling engines, NCM, and 2 websites. - In addition the FoE´s which i never got round to install yet

Anyway - on the webservers, i just downloaded the bits for additional webservers, and reinstalled that. I believe support once told me, that for webservers this is all you need, and it worked

For what it is worth, since we installed 2 seperate webservers, our website performance has been stabile. Not brilliant or "good" but "fair". I do see noticable improvements in the speed of the websites, but still... As more and more management is also moved to the web, we need significant improvements in this area. i am considering if the continued move towards more web-management than GUI based, that i might need to deploy a management server only, to make sure i get the speed I need...

Just not sure, that this will actually improve my perf, as the problem may be in the SQL selections etc ?

just run that same installer and it will recognize that it is just a web server and install only the info service piece.
