Hi All,

I am trying to run the configure server to enable IIS monitoring

The server is 2008 standard and running IIS 7

when running the auto configure i get the following error

"PowerShell WebAdministration module test failed.

Web Administration test failed: PowerShell WebAdministration module is not installed"

I have spent some time searching and can not find this for the server spec

anyone out there got any suggestions ? Positive that is

ok so heres what fixed this more for me

All steps to be completed on the target server

Step 1 - Install powershell on Server

Install powershell 2.0 to the server

A restart of the server will be required after installation

Step 2 - Install WebPiCmd

Run the installer for WebPiCmd, you'll find WebPICMD.exe in the
%programfiles%\microsoft\web platform installer directory

Step 3 - Install Windows
PowerShell Snap-in for IIS7.0

Run the installer
for IIS7Psprov_x64 or 86

Step 4 - Add PowerShell Snapin WebAdministration

Open Windows PowerShell application

Cd to C:\program files\microsoft\webplatform

Insert the following code

.\WebpiCmd.exe /Install /Products:IISPowershellSnapin /AcceptEula /ForceReboot

Add-PSSnapin WebAdministration

Get-Website

Run the configure server app in Solarwinds

Administrator rights or equivalent credentials to the IIS server bring monitored is needed for configuration. Thanks for the info but the account being used does have Admin rights to the IIS server

ok so heres what fixed this more for me
