I would like the ability to merge existing interface data with newly discovered ones. I have often had sitations where I update firmware on a firewall or upgrade a VM and suddenly Orion sees the current interface as offline and a new one as available. If I re-discover the device I am able to add the new interface but I loose all of the history for the previous interface as it is no longer available and needs to be deleted to stop alerts. This can also happen with Intel NICs if you have teaming enabled and you have to break the team. I would like the ability to have a "merge interface data" option when creating a new one. Hope this makes sense.
