NPM 10.2 / NCM 7 Web Console - Manage NCM Nodes - Group By customization

I recently upgraded to NPM 10.2 / NCM 7 and am now using the web console (whereas before with NCM 6 I was only using the NCM console itself to manage nodes). In some screens (i.e Config Summary --> Node List) it is possible to have node groups call a custom field such as department, building, region etc., but when you drill down to the 'MANAGE NCM NODES' screen, there is no custom grouping option. I've searched the console view settings and do not see where I can add a 'Group By' option

Any help is appreciated.

Sneak,

The screen you are on is a place only to License/UnLicense a device from NCM.

This is not a location to make device changes.

However, the need for better groupings and sorting has been discussed and solutions to this are being investigated.

However currently, there is the limit to the NCM Node details.

If you need to actually manage a node, such as change the ip address, node name, snmp community strings.

These actions are done at the core level.

In the Web console, go to "Settings"

Manage Nodes

Here there are more options for sorting.

This is where one would modify node details and can also modify NCM specific details such as Login information.

This screen is used frequently when we want to remove an item from NCM but not from NPM. As it states in the description at the top:

"Use this resource to add Orion Core nodes to NCM, or to remove nodes from NCM".

Since, in v7, you can no longer remove hosts directly from the NCM console itself, it would be nice to have a quick way to do so in bulk when needed.

It would also be nice to have the option to add this resource as a button on the ribbon above rather than having to navigate to Configs/Config Summary then from the 'Node List' resource, choose 'MANAGE NCM NODES'. It is just rather cumbersome at this point.
