NCM node management

Question

Is there any way to add a node to NCM via the web console, or have the node automatically added to NCM when I add it to NPM?

Ah... HA!!! I was thinking the custom property was a requirement. Silly me... :)

Although this is something we deffinitely want, as we have a number of devices that we monitor with NPM that don't have config management capabilities, thus we don't really want them to get pulled into NCM.

There is an issue with the use of a custom NPM attribute (e.g., Enable_NCM_Import) to control whether or not a particular node is imported using this job.   However, it does import devices from NPM to NCM on a scheduled basis and will add any new nodes from NPM to NCM.  The bug is associated with more granular control over this process.

There is a new job called "Import Devices from Orion Database".   This allows you to point to an Orion NPM database and setup a scheduled import of devices.   This would allow you to add a device to NPM and then on next scheduled import, have this device appear in NCM.

Chris, I thought it was determined that this was broken and would be resolved in SP1..?
