I'm in desperate need of some help in order to complete my upgrade to 9.5 of NPM. First a bit of background.
Quite a while ago I donloaded and installed the evaluation version of Orion NPM v9. This subsequently expired, but finally my company purchased the SLX version of NPM. This was around 3 weeks ago. I have since installed v9.1 which has been working nicely. Today I noticed v9.5 is available, so I downloaded it and began the installation. The upgrade seemed to complete without any issues.
However, I now come to the configuration wizard. The first part is the database screen. My SQL server is [local]\SOLORWINDS_ORION and the user is SolarWindsNPM. The username and password fields were already input in the respective fields. I remember using these credentials when upgrading from the evaluation version. When I click on next I get the following error message:
SQL Common Language Runtime is not enabled on the server. The current user does not have privileges to enable CLR (needs to be a member of 'SysAdmin' role).
The trouble I don't have any idea what the sysadmin username and password is for the SQL server is. When I installed the evaluation version of Orion NPM I chose to use the SQL version that came with it. I'm still using this version and I don't recall being asked for a username and password with admin rights for this database server. I believe I am using SQL Server 2005 Express.
Is there any way I can recover this password? Is there a default admin account? Any help will be gratefully accepted.
