Ping monitoring instead of SNMP for node up/down
rstier
Hi,
Is Orion NPM capable of doing a simple ping to determine if a host is up or down rather than an SNMP poll? I have a few older systems where SNMP will just not work properly but I would still like to monitor them for node up/down.
Thanks,
Ron

Yes Orion supports up down with ICMP Only.
When you add the Node, just check the box at the bottom of the Add Node form next to the text "Node does not support SNMP"
