Create http post alert actions via Powershell

Hi All,

I've created some dummy alerts with an authenticated https post action for trigger and reset.  I need to take these actions and insert them into another instance of Solarwinds, and then bind them to all alerts of the matching object type.

I've exported them to XML as per other threads I've found, and can import them as well.  However, they come in with no actions.

Could anybody point me in the right direction here?

I've run into scenarios like this before, by chance on the instance you exported the alert from is it using an action that is shared across multiple alerts? Similar to the screenshot below

What happens in those scenarios is the XML just exports the actionid but doesn't actually contain the action itself unless you are exporting the first alert where that action was used.  What's more annoying in this case is that if you happen to create a new action on your instance that matches up to the actionid from the old instance the new action would magically pop in to all those imported alerts.  For cases where you need to be exporting and importing alerts around then unfortunately you really can't re-use alert actions.
