Environmental monitoring?

All,

Are there any plans out there to add support for the various environmentals (Fans,Temp,etc) that are part of most every network device out there?

I'd *LOVE* to be able to see a graph that shows me the temp of my gear out in the field along with a means to alarm on thresholds..

I just added a node of: APC Part #: AP9618 (Web/OoBM w/Environmental Monitoring) and I see only stats related to network communications. I'd love to be able to track temperature, humidity, voltages, etc. Maybe I can, but I don't know how to tune Orion? Any suggestions would be helpful!

Hello gentlemen,

Orion currently has no means to do what you are describing. The kids at SW are working on a new alerting engine. Once they have it complete they appear to have custom MIB support set as the next big enhancement. When that is complete you will be able to take nearly any vendor MIB and look at/graph/alert on any value your heart desires.
