Directory Size Monitor

Hello,

I am attempting to use APM to monitor a volume for me, and I can't use NPM via SNMP due to this being on a cluster the servers it presents to can change. I have NPM monitoring the host servers, file1/file2/file3, via SNMP for C: stuff like that - but the LUN's part of the cluster that move I have linked to a ICMP only node tied to the hostname/cluster IP. Under this hostname/cluser IP I have these APM templates that monitors the actual drives - for example \\data1.example.com\Q$

When I add this to the node, I get the following error:

Component Status Details:	Unexpected error occurred. Path 'data1.example.com\Q$' not suported.
Component Type:	Directory Size Monitor

Message:	Path 'data1.example.com\Q$' not suported.

Any ideas? Thanks!

The error message you're receiving is normal given that "Q$" is not a directory but a share. An alternative method that will provide you similar information about the volume is to use the Windows performance counter information for the logical disks. Screenshots provided below.
