REAL TIME EMAIL ALERT SETUP via NCM

I would like to set up NCM to trigger real time email alerts when there is a configuration change on any router on the my network,,problem is that NPM and NCM are both running on the same server and at the moment NPM's SYSLOGS AND TRAPS are currently running on this server. after reading the NCM manual for activating of real time alerts, I noticed that it requires NCM's SYSLOG AND TRAPS to be activated (since rules will be set via NCM's syslog/traps server),,,,

 

Is it possible to have both NPM's SYSLOG/TRAPS and NCM's SYSLOG/TRAPS running on the same server?????

if so,,,how do I do that,,,,and if not,,, what should I do make this work. ?????

 

If I have to turn off the NPM's Syslog/Traps server will it affect my current NPM alerts????

You can actually use NPM syslog the same way to kick of the ConfigAutoDownload.exe ${IP}. Just make sure in NCM that you have set all the Real Time Change Detection setting especially a windows based account that has permision to kick-off the task.
